Lipstick, powder and paint!

Its not all glamour

When I moved to Damson Cottage, I had no idea how much I would change.  It has long been a dream of mine to live this life and really immerse myself in the world of nature. I am learning every day and I am repeatedly impressed by the environment around me. I wouldn’t change it for the world. However, there are a couple of things, that I do sometimes find myself feeling a little nostalgic for:

I used to be a woman who took considerable time each day to dress and put on my makeup. My hair was always in place and never scrunched under a hat or worse still tied up in a ponytail to “keep it out of the way”. Bumping into someone I know happened all the time and I never wanted to be “caught out”.  Frivolous I know but I think this is something that most women will understand.

How times have changed……..  Now I find myself looking at Australian boots made for working in the outback, with longing; how comfortable yet smart, how practical yet attractive….. (Not everyone agrees with that observation)

Talking of attractive, how good it would be if someone would buy me a bee keeping suit for my birthday, not to mention a hive, tools and of course bees!

I still apply my makeup, if not every day and my hair usually looks tidy. I don’t think that’s a bad thing, after all certain standards need to be maintained, but now the finer things in life that I appreciate are the tools that help me live this life more successfully.
